Who is Accommodation Finder for?
Maybe you want to go out for the season and look for part time work when
you get there? Or maybe you've lined up a job with a local company and
need to sort out your own accommodation? We can help...
-- Individuals, couples or groups looking for their own
apartment or chalet
-- Individuals or couples looking to share accommodation
(we can also match you up with flat mates)

Resorts:
Apartments are available in most French resorts from Val d'Isere (the most expensive) to Chamonix (the least expensive). Populare destinations are Les Arcs, Meribel, Tignes and Val Thorens. We can also help with other resorts - please let us know if you are looking for something specific.
Accommodation:
-- Most shared apartments are detailed specifically
in their descriptions on the shared apartment
page
--
Private apartments to rent just for yourself
can vary, and each individual description should be checked.
However, studios are normally for 4 people and consist of an entrance hall with bunk beds for 2, main living area with sleeping space for 2, plus kitchenette, bathroom, and balcony.*
One bedroom apartments (normally for 5) consist of entrance hall with
bunk beds or single bed, kitchenette, living area with sleeping room for
1 or 2, bedroom with sleeping room for 2, bathroom and balcony *
* descriptions/floor plans may change slightly from resort to resort.
"Do I have to fill an apartment?":
No. If you are not already in a group and are looking for flatmates to share with, we will do our best to find a match - according to resort, budget, number of sharers, age, sex etc. During the lead-up to the winter, we regularly update our shared apartments page on the site detailing current shares available.
We cannot guarantee your first choice. Once we have proposed a flat share to you, you will have 7 days to decide whether to accept it. Once the booking is made, and we have received your deposit, there can be no changes, and no refunds will be issued.
Season dates vary by accommodation. For most private apartments and shared accommodation are available from early or mid-December to mid or end-April.
We can also offer other apartment rentals for the coming season from 07 Jan-22 Apr 2006. Should you require earlier or later dates, this can be possible, but will be more expensive, particularly over Christmas and New Year. We have found many people prefer to wait until after New Year, spending time with their family, while a good snow base builds up.
We can also offer apartments for shorter let periods of a minimum of one month and upwards.

Words of Wisdom:
-- Apartments in ski resorts are designed for families on holiday for
a week, not for groups of adults and all their stuff for 4 months - they
are clean, but cosy!
-- As a general rule, we don't recommend putting more than 3 people in
a studio for 4, or 4 people in an apartment for 5.
-- We can provide cheap accommodation - from just over £1000 per person for the season - if you're prepared to share a smaller space with more people. Be realistic about how you feel about this - especially if you will be sharing an apartment with people you don't yet know.
-- If you want a touch of luxury (Playstation, free Internet access etc) and more personal space, have a look at a place in one of Planet Subzero's seasonal let chalets - from £2250 for 5 months in Les Arcs, Les 2 Alps, Tignes or Chamonix.
-- Val d'Isere is probably the most expensive resort you could choose to do a season. If you are looking for a less expensive winter, think about Avoriaz, Les Arcs, or Chamonix. Just because they're cheaper doesn't mean they're not as good!
-- If you are planning to look for more than just odd jobs during the season, then have a look at the Natives Ski Jobs service first. Competition for jobs from other 'skibums' can be very tough (esp in the most popular resorts - Val d'Isere, Meribel/Mottaret and Chamonix). It can take weeks, or longer, to find work when you arrive, so if you already know you don't have enough money to see you through the season, then you may be better off sorting a job out in advance.
-- People who do seasons have at least one thing in common - a love of snow - which is a very good start for making life long friends. Not washing up, leaving your clothes everywhere and not having respect for your housemates aren't. Whether you know each other beforehand or not, setting out rules on how you want to organise the apartment when you move in (and sticking to them), will mean you will all still love each other at the end of the season.
-- Pack light!

Rules n Regulations:
-- We provide accommodation only. Natives and Planet Subzero take absolutely no responsibility for you, anything you do, or anything that happens to you during the season.
-- To secure your apartment, you need to forward us a deposit of £500 per person asap as there are only a limited number of seasonal lets and places available. We will confirm your booking by email as soon as we receive your deposits. The deposit is non-refundable. The outstanding sum must be paid in full by 30 October, unless otherwise advised.
-- Damage deposits are paid directly to the agency handling the property when you check in to your apartment at the start of your stay. You are responsible for cleaning, keeping the accommodation in good condition, replacing lost or damaged items, and adhering to the contract issued to you when you check in. Your damages deposit is normally a credit card imprint, but may also be cash.
-- It is your responsibility to organise your own travel insurance when you book, so that you are protected against holiday cancellation, curtailment or injury expenses. We recommend Ski-insurance.co.uk.
-- It is your responsibility to organise your own transport to and from your accommodation. The Natives Chat Room is useful for organising shared lifts and transfers.
-- The maximum number of people staying in a studio for 4 is 4, and in a 1 bedroom apartment is 5. Guests are welcome to stay in your accommodation providing they do not exceed the maximum number of people allowed in the apartment. Natives and Planet Subzero do not take responsibility for ensuring that you adhere to this rule. However, if more than the maximum number of people are found to be staying in your accommodation, it is within the agency handling the property's rights to evict you without notice or refund.
