THE UK SKI INDUSTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

racing in tignesWhile partying and simply being in the mountains is all part of the Summer Weekender, it's the Ski Industry Champs that will be the highlight for many of those attending.

At stake, bragging rights for the next year, as you get the chance to test yourself against the clock, your co-workers and others in the industry...

On the Tignes glacierOPEN TO ALL Racing is not compulsory, but all courses will be set to allow anyone to race, whether still an aspiring intermediate or seasoned racer. The accent is on taking part! For those familiar with the Natives Workers Challenge, the format for the Dual Slalom will be the same as our Meribel event.

THE GREENEYE TEAM DUAL SLALOM
- Teams should made up of four members
- The competition will be a head-to-head knockout
- First round losers will compete in a plate competition
- Teams can be any combination of male/female, skiers/snowboarders
- Companies can enter as many teams as they like
- There will be prizes for the best mixed and all-female teams

THE 'RESPECT THE MOUNTAIN' INDIVIDUAL GIANT SLALOM
- The GS will be set up to allow for all standards of racer
- All competitors will get two runs (subject to snow conditions)
- First run start numbers will be drawn at random
- In the first run snowboarders will go first, then female skiers, then male skiers
- The fastest thirty racers will start the second leg in reverse order
- Prizes will be awarded in all individual categories (M/F; ski/board/tele/mono!)
- Team prizes will be calculated from the best three aggregate times
- Team prizes will be awarded to male and female teams

THE METROSNOW.CO.UK WATER JUMP
This event really is just plain good old fashioned fun! It's an individual battle of 'jump offs'! Tignes Development will be there to guide you, all you have to do is turn up with your most courageous head on...there are some great prizes up for grabs - for the most daring, spectacular or silly jump.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE? Please note that to race, you must be currently working (in the UK or Alps) for a tour operator, chalet company, travel agent, retailer, distributor or other employer in the snowsports industry. Season workers who worked last winter, or will be working this winter, are also eligible. The organisers retain the right to request proof of employment.
