Winter's sorted at the Natives Jobs Fair

With the biggest cuts in public spending in 80 years being announced it seems lots of you have decided to abandon the good ship GB and head to foreign shores, and with jobs on offer like those at the Natives Jobs Fair, who could blame you.

The Natives Jobs FairReady for work
Over 900 candidates keen to work this winter, next summer and the following winter came through the door of the Pillar Hall at the Ski and Snowboard Show to meet with the UK ski industry's top employers..

All sorts of people turned up, from qualified masseurs to gourmet chefs, 18 to 60 year olds, seasoned season workers to first timers – and a fair few walked out with jobs secured and their winter sorted.

Prize for most interviews in one day goes to Camilla from Snowfox. With a queue that formed at 11am and didn't disperse till 5pm she was kept talking for 6 hours - not bad considering she's expecting a baby in 7 weeks.

Ski Republic at the Jobs FairCall the police!
One visitor was a little over enthusiastic with the Esprit girls, and had to be escorted from the building. He was later arrested after stripping off outside - not something we suggest as the best way to secure your dream job.

Talks were held throughout the day on subjects such as working in Canada, how to become an instructor, seasonal accommodation, the Ski Club of Great Britain, and the ever popular How to get a job in ski resort.

If you weren’t successful in securing a winter position on Saturday, lots of tour operators are still looking for peak season staff and late starters, so keep checking our site regularly for all the latest updates.

Check out the gallery for pics from the day - can you spot yourself in the crowd?

Thanks to all the employers for supporting the first Natives Jobs Fair - it'll be back even bigger and better next year.
