Since its opening in 1935, the Badger Pass Ski Area has been a favorite vacation spot for generations of skiers. Today, California's original ski resort in the spectacular Sierra Nevada is still an ideal place to learn to ski. Badger Pass is a one-hour drive from Yosemite Valley on the Glacier Point Road. A free bus leaves daily from Curry Village, the Ahwahnee Hotel, Yosemite Lodge, and the Wawona Hotel.

Backpacking, golfing, fishing, horseback and mule trips, rafting, swimming, rock climbing, and art classes are available throughout the summer. Also hiking, camping, biking, and tours are available year round.
