THE NATIVES SHOW LOVE TOUR 2009/10

Natives' intrepid Show Love Tour manager Simon Clark takes us to the
highest highs of last week's party in Val Thorens...

Show Love Tour t-shirtWe take the party to Val Thorens

The second Show Love Tour party of the season took us to the heady heights of Val Thorens and to the highest pub in Europe - The Frog and Roastbeef. It's an English bar run by three very youthful and jovial chaps called  Duncan, Rory and Stuart, and these three musketeers really do know how to throw a party.

Chilli town
I turned up early to sample their cuisine as I'd heard a rumour they were serving the best burgers that planet earth had ever had the delight to taste. I wasn't disappointed!

DuncanI chose the mighty mother of all burgers - the Hot Deluxe. Crammed full of tasty yumminess, this burger even has onion rings and hot jalapenos to top it off. It's definitely up there with anything Gordon Ramsey could throw at you until, that is, the next morning when the hot chillies take effect!

Party goers hop away with prizes galore...
Anyway, back to the party, and after washing down my dinner with a glass of red I was ready to get started with the task of decorating the boys' bar with all our banners and posters. I also had to sort out the mountain of awesome prizes we were going to give away to all the fortunate enough seasonaires and holidaymakers who braved the cold weather to join us for a beer.

The Frog boys didn't disappoint either and gave us five hoodys and five T-shirts to give away, making sure that people would leave with not only with smiles on their faces but new clothes on their backs!

Ski AlpineWinners galore
Dancing on the tables and throwing shapes, of sorts, on the dancefloor was the order of the evening. In between tunes we'd call out numbers for the raffle draw. Ski Alpine got off to a flyer with Joe Lyeiate winning a Ski Club of Great Britain goodie bag along with a Natives Show Love Tour T-shirt, followed by Pid Bolton also of Ski Alpine winning a cool pair of Blackfly sunglasses.

FiaccSimon shares some love!
A nice Irish lad with a name I've never heard before, Fiacc, rocked up next to take away a lovely wee wheelie bag from ProFeet.

Tom Angelinetta had been hanging round all night thinking it wasn't going to be his day as everyone around him took away bagfuls of top gear, when on almost the last draw of the night he won a stylish Natives Frog and Roastbeef hoody - he sprinted like a footballer who had just scored for Scotland against Brazil and dived, legs going over his head, across the wooden deck outside the pub. Ouch! A bruise or two to show for his efforts the next day I think!

GreeneyeFight over the Greeneye gear
The really cool Greeneye hoody was the last prize of the night and was won by the totally thrilled Sam Skinner who works for Crystal Holidays and was the envy of the rest of the pub.

One lad who'd won two other items of clothing couldn't prize it away from her by offering her all his goodies plus cash! These Greeneye clothes are certainly catching the eye and everyone seems to want get their hands on it!

A really wicked night in the Fog was followed the next morning with a rather sore head and a rather delicate part of my anatomy I'd rather not talk about...

Bring on round three!
