THE NATIVES SHOW LOVE TOUR 2009/10

Natives Show Love Tour visited Tignes last week, and Rick Greenwood reports from the party at The Loop...

The Loop BarSo the Show Love Tour arrived in Tignes on a snowy Wednesday evening ready for the usual fun and games involved with any Natives event!

An après ski set by the four-piece Tignes band The Cheerleaders (just four guys – where were the hot dancing girls?) had got the Crystal crowd warmed up and they assured me they were on it for the evening…

CheerleadersBy 10pm the Loop was warming up with staff from Crystal, Skiworld, Mark Warner and Total Ski all keen to get their hands on the K2 skis kindly donated by Precision and making the most of their evening off with free shots of Eristoff Black ably served by Jamie & Morgan and the rest of the Loop team.

By 10.30 the Cheerleaders were in full swing and the evening really took off with people rocking out to great covers. The first interval was raffle time and a baying crowd of season workers and guests were treated to Ski Club goodie bags (Andy from Crystal and Sarah from Skiworld), a Document snowboard mag subscription (Rosie from Nissan), an amazing wheelie bag from Profeet (Dom, a very drunk and very happy ski bum) and a Greeneye hoody (Verity from Loop Bar).

AliA lot more alcohol and a lot more dancing later and it was time for the final raffle…more magazine subscriptions to Fall Line and Document, a lovely Salomon beanie, sunglasses from Black Flys (a very happy Adam from Crystal), a Freeride boot bag (which went to a very surprised guest!) and then came the grand prize – a pair of K2 Apache 184 freeride skis from Precision. Allie from Total Ski walked away a very happy girl with skis about 30cm bigger than she was!!

As always a top night out on the Show Love Tour and big thanks to all our sponsors, the Loop team in Tignes and the fantastic Cheerleaders for providing our entertainment.
