what's new in courchevel for 2001?
L'Equipe closes | Equipe Pics | What's New for 2001
The Bars
In the absence of the Equipe, the other bars in resort step
up manfully to take the mantle...
Bar Le Jump
As per last year with Paul, Jim and their crew at the helm.
Le Kalico
When the bars close at 1am, this will still be Courchevel's
'British' nightclub open until the early hours of the morning.
TJs
The shooters and cocktail bar, with Courchevel's famous live
band Romeo Blue usually playing every other week. Cable TV
(for sports fans). This winter will be run by Sophie, voted
best butt in resort for the last two years, ably supported
by Tommy.
The Blue Bar (previously the ISBA)
Now converted into a classier joint with large seating area,
comfy seats and sofas for the more 'informal atmosphere'.
Allen will be the man behind the bar.
Gringo's (previously El Gringo s!)
The tequila house of Courchevel, also serving the dreaded
Mutzig. The team is made up of Philly, complete with French
maid's outfit and furry handcuffs and cheeky Michael (ladyboy)
Goatley.

Rumour has it there will also be other speciality nights like: 70's nights, Wet T-shirts, Talent shows, Blind Date (featuring Courchevel's own Cilla Black: Mr Simon Hooper), Pub Quiz, Big Brother and more.
Oh...and the Skiing...
The Marmottes chair and piste are now both bigger, Creux Noir chair is shorter and new, with the Creux Noir hut at the junction of Creux/Boulevard which contours the mountain to the bottom of Suisses. Plus there's a new piste down to the bottom of Creux Noir from Marmottes - more views of Mont Blanc, more access.
