THE SCOTT DUNN SKIER/BOARDER X Val d'Isere, Wed 09 Apr 2008

The finale of the Workers Challenge - the Scott Dunn Skier/Boarder Cross - takes place in Val d'Isere, when season workers gather from across the Alps to compete head to head in this adrenalin rush of an event - the 5th time we have staged this exciting competition.

The finishFormat - Timed qualifiers + knock out
Everyone entering will have at least one run down the course in a timed qualifier run. The fastest 16 in each category then go through to the exciting knock out stages, where four competitors at a time fight it out head to head to the finish.


The event is held at Val d'Isere snopark.

Val d'isereBBQ and after-party
All competitors will be able to get free food from the BBQ on the mountain, plus there will be free Extreme Drinks and also Thunder Vodka at the prize-giving for all competitors.

Stade Bonneville - next to the Val d'Isere snowpark is a good option for honing your racing skills prior to the race.

Over €4000 of prizes
Whether you've raced before or are a first-timer, this experience is a must just for the fun of it. To cap it off, we have a prize fund worth over €4000, including Respect The Mountain goody bags, skis (Freeride.fr & Rossignol), snowboards (Rossignol), clothing (Rossignol, Natives), helmets (SH+), eyewear (Bolle), DVDs (Verbier Ride) and goodies from The Ski Club of Great Britain.

Entry
Entry costs €15 in advance (EUR20 on the day), including BBQ and two free drinks. Entry forms are available at the Ski Republic shop and the PowderMonkey Internet cafe. There are limited places available, so please don't leave it to the last minute.

After-Party + Prize-Giving
Le Petit Danois in Val d'Isere is the proud host of the after-party and prize-giving from 1730.

And that means free drinks courtesy of Extreme Drinks and Thunder Vodka, as well as lots more freebies for everyone...
