Pat
Sharples is at the forefront of the 'New School' of British freeskiing
and is one of the UK's best ever ski exports.
A
combination of ability, good looks, and friendly manner means that he
leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets.
Pat
was the first Briton to turn pro three years ago and now competes in
a diverse range of "New School" disciplines from Freeriding
to Big Air, Skier Cross to Slopestyle.
When
not competing, he can either be found working on the latest ski movie,
on the front cover of numerous magazines, in front of the camera as
a TV presenter, or passing on his skills to future generations of British
skiers.
Recently
he has been working increasingly with his company 'Crash and Dance Productions'.
As well as working Xbox and Playstation, the company has released the
hugely entertaining Season
Wars videos, documenting life in for resort workers in Courchevel.
MC
WORK
Over the last couple of years I've been getting involved in the commentary/MCing
at all the major ski events around the UK. I have hosted the Natives
New Breed event at the Birmingham Ski Show in 2003 and 2004 and
since then been MC at The London, Verbier and Saas Fee Ride series events,
The Natural Born Riders series, and one of the world's biggest newschool
events, the Jon Olsson invitational.
