It's fairly well known that the
new Bond film 'The World
Is Not Enough' has a ski sequence that was shot in
Chamonix last winter at
a cost of £10 million.
The crew spent three months in total, filming
between avalanches in Argentière,
Les Praz, Sallanches, Combloux and Bonneville.
Trivia buffs and hard-core
extreme skiers may recognise
the daring rock drop-off that features as the rarely-skied
Rocher de Brizon above
Bonneville.
Bond himself, Pierce
Brosnan, proved himself
a thoroughly decent bloke
by treating all 180 of the
crew to a night out in the Wild Wallabies
bar. Apparently 20,000
francs' worth was consumed in the first hour leaving
007 shaken, but
of course, not stirred.
