After being phased out
since their purchase by Inghams a few seasons ago,
Bladon Lines are back.
In a move that will surprise
followers of Monty Python, the dead parrot has no
longer ceased to be and will now be featured in a
separate brochure, together with old logo and the
infamous parrot.
While industry watchers
have questioned the wisdom of winding down a brand
that a generation of skiers grew up with only to revive
it later, Natives is more concerned about the origins
of the parrot itself. We understand that the
idea cropped up after the multi-coloured jackets that
once swarmed over Geneva airport were likened to the
colourful bird. It could also be due to a tendency
to talk excessively...
