Britain's second indoor 'snow'
slope has announced a new opening date of 5 July.
Xscape,
the Milton Keynes based complex, had planned to open
during May, but work on the new development has dragged
the project behind
schedule.
The Snozone will be Europe's
largest indoor 'snow' slope. It will be 170m long
and 60m wide and comprises of three slopes. Snow cannons
will produce 1,500 tonnes of 'real snow' at temperatures
of –2C.
The statistics are certainly
impressive, but the reality is that the slope is only
a small part of a much larger complex that includes
a fitness club, cinemas, bowling alleys, climbing
walls, bars and shops.
Will our insatiable appetite
for snow will survive lift tickets even more expensive
than the Three Valleys? You can find out from 5 July.
