and Freestyle Summer Camps going on, such as the British
Freeski Camps and BUSC. But what is
there out there for aspiring racers?
Focus on the ski itself
You could do worse than check out Ski Focus, international training
camps in Tignes, which focus on the ski itself. It is based on the
principle that the key to efficient skiing lies in focusing on the
performance of the ski rather than the performance of the skier.
By concentrating on this aspect all unnecessary,
complicated instructions to mind and body are excluded. Instructors
are fully qualified British Ski Instructors and or Alpine Performance
Race Coaches. There are no language problems so more skiing and
learning are achieved.

Package
The standard package includes intensive training in small groups
of 4-8 people and video analysis. Unlike other summer camps, half
board accommodation and flights and transfers are also included
in the package price, which makes it great value for money from
£595.
Race Specific Training
Race training weeks additionally include fitness testing & training,
ski servicing, psychological & tactical aspects of race day preparation,
plus race lane allocation & gate training
