pupils will get onboard this summer as the Orange AIM Series Schools
Tour takes off again, hoping to educate and inspire a further 3,000
school pupils over the next two weeks to keep active with snowsports.
British champion snowboarders and freestyle skiers
will hit the road and visit 10 schools across the UK offering the
pupils free beginner lessons at each of the Orange AIM Series events
through August to October. Their mission is to spread the awareness
of the sports and get more young new talent involved so the sports
can grow further.
Snowsports mean a happier life!
Beneficial factors of snowsports, apart from
the valuable effect on the cognitive and motor skills, include strengthening
the immune system, improving vitality, self confidence and promotes
a positive attitude towards life - which proves that snowsports
are the way forward to a happier life!!
The schools tour spends a day at each school, presenting the various
elements and disciplines of snowboarding and freestyle skiing, as
well as talking about mountain safety, equipment, training and career
opportunities. Before getting the chance to check out the equipment
themselves and get their hands on stickers, lanyards and posters,
the students are treated to a trampoline display of more difficult
tricks by the pros.
