Pro
riders head to Iceland
Starting Monday, the Nikita Iceland Park Project (IPP) opens for
business on the Snaefellsjokull glacier for its fourth year. As
always, it will play host to a mix of pro riders, professional photographers,
film-makers and general snow sports enthusiasts from May 21 – June
11 2005.
Amongst
those attending will be the UK’s top female snowboarder, Lesley
McKenna who also visited the camp in 2004 as part of the Dropstitch
film project.
“The Iceland Park Project has become an important
part of my season. It’s an ideal place to challenge riding skills
in a friendly atmosphere.”
23 hours a day session
One of the biggest draws of the IPP as a summer camp is to the 23
hours of light each day in which to session a terrain park created
by some of Europe’s top shapers. Check out the Park
Project site.
