Big love and air guitars
The final Show Love Tour party of the season on mainland Europe was in Morzine, at one of our favourite Alpine venues, the Cavern Bar.

This year the theme was an air guitar contest, which went spectacularly well, with some of the finest non-instrument playing ever witnessed.

The Highlife Team had an entire air band and a glam rocker sneaked in from somewhere. Competitors were stripped down to five then three by the judging panel, then the finalists put to the democracy of an audience vote.

Cynics suggested that the pretty, blond winner's success may have been more due to her lying on her back and twitching in a sexually provocative manner than true invisible string plucking wizardry - but the public's opinion is not to be thwarted; and her two male also-rans were still rewarded with prizes.

The hardy head-banged till dawn.
