NATURAL BORN RIDERS HEADS FOR SHEFFIELD

23 January 2005

The Nokia Natural Born Riders Tour is a nationwide ski and snowboard tour round the UK's premier snow slopes and parks. The Tour was developed to find new talent in the UK as well as encouraging others into the World of Freestyle, with each venue being turned into a freestyle heaven of kickers and rails. As well as comps there will be UK and international pros on hand to aid new riders' transition into freestyle.

Third leg at Sheffield Ski Village

After two successful stops, at Tamworth Snowdome and Milton Keynes Xscape, the Nokia NBR tour heads to Sheffield Ski Village on 4th March before the finals at Castleford Xscape the following day. As with the previous legs there are three categories of competition:

- Neilson Active Holiday's Men's Over 18's
- Magic the Gathering Boys Under 18's
- Animal Ice Maiden Girl's Comp

Entry into the competitions is free and automatic when you register online and pay your slope fee to the venue, which is £10 for the Night from 6.00pm - 10.00pm. All of the teams are on the look out for new talent for their respective teams.

There are some amazing prizes to be won on the slopes, including four sets of Armada skis, 4 Sapient snowboards, 2 Neilson holidays plus Animal clothing and Oakley eyewear.

Clinics and demos are to be given by Animal and Oakley snowboard pros to teach people about the art form of freestyle snowboarding. So far visitors to the Tour have included Jonno Verity, Sam Cullum, Ewan Wallace, Jenny Jones, Andy Bennett, Mike Wakefield and all the way from the US, Armada team riders JP Auclair and Julien Regnier! These clinics and demos will take place on the nursery slopes designed to build up confidence for everyone new to freestyle on small jumps and rails.

There will be limited spaces available for the Tour so first come, first served - sign up online.
