 Yearbook,
Matchstick's all conquering ski movie, dominated the 2005 Powder
Video Awards held at Aspen last week.
The highlight of the evening was phenomenon Shane McConkey winning
the Amstel Light Full Throttle for the second year in a row. Shane
continues to change the face of skiing with dramatic BASE-jump,
allied to hard-charging skiing.
Video of the Year, went to Matchstick Productions' Yearbook. The
mix of humour, cutting-edge skiing, creative camera work, and tight
production made Yearbook the clear winner.
In addition to Best Movie, Yearbook supplied winners in seven of
10 individual categories as well, including: Best Male, Best Female,
Trick, Line, Breakthrough, Full Throttle, and Best POV. Shane McConkey
also won the POWDER Reader Poll, whose winners are decided by readers'
votes.
