Alex, editor of the Courchevel
Enquirer, brings us up to date some some of the changes going
on in Courchevel 1850:
L'Equipe returns
You read it here first! After the tragedy that was the end of the
Equipe back (back
in 2000), not unlike Peter Kay's Phoenix, it has risen from
the flames that were the wood fired oven of the Smalto restaurant
(although that feature has been retained).
Road system changes
The new bridge on entry to town has now been finished, complete
with a new coach park. It is not known yet how transfer day will
be affected. The coach spot is just after the bridge and 30m from
the old entry to 1850. Instead of the coaches stopping near the
petrol station they will stop outside of town.
More changes
Backbreaking work for someone as Le Kalico gets a new terrace, while
the new Tourist Office is almost complete.
