Manchester - Geneva
Skiers and boarders in the North West of England have just got a
new cheap flight option: Jet2,
which already flies out of Leeds Bradford, is to start a daily route
from Manchester terminal 1 to Geneva from 18th December this winter.
Tickets, now on sale, are from only £21, including all taxes. For
more information and scheduling check out the website www.jet2.com.
Gateway to Europe
The Manchester Airport service, which will be getting six dedicated
Boeing 737s and over 200 new jobs, will also serve eight other European
destinations: Budapest, Faro, Malaga, Murcia, Nice, Pisa, Valencia
and Venice.
John Spooner, Manchester Airport’s Managing Director, said: “Jet2.com
has quickly established itself as a major airline in the North of
England and we are delighted that they have chosen Manchester as
a major base for their future plans.”
Geneva airport, only an hour from Chamonix, Megeve, Morzine and
Verbier, is well placed to serve most of the major French and Swiss
ski resorts and even some of the Italian stations, such as Courmayeur.
