Big
Mountain action
The Verbier Ride 2004 Big Mountain Freeride delivered
some of the finest competitive freeskiing imaginable. The event
held on the extremely challenging slopes of Mont Gele provided a
fittingly dramatic conclusion to the 2004 IFSA Freeskiing European
Tour. Stand-out performances by Martha Burley (AUS) and Brendan
Noel McLean (CAN) saw them take the 1st places.
Slopestyle
The Verbier Ride Slope Style was held in a specially enhanced La
Chaux terrain park, shaped by Yannick and his Televerbier crew.
The Slope Style saw the riders in chilled-out mood, as they sessioned
the course, throwing down an increasingly complex mix of D-Spins,
Misty Flips, Rodeos and Switch tricks. In the end Greg Tuscner (SUI)
came out on top, just ahead of second place Andy Bennett (GBR) and
third place Ben 'Skinner' Murphy (AUS).
Skiercross
Fred Mazieres (FRA) and Serain Emile (SUI) secured their places
at the Winter X-Games 2005 in the Verbier Ride SkierCross discipline.
Master course designer, Nicolas Voudroz, created a challenging and
exciting course that drew the very best out of the riders.
