SKIING ON FOUR AT 2AM

03 February 2004

After an extended Sunday session of the show there are two more chances to catch up with some good ski coverage over the next couple of days - get setting that video...

Wednesday 4th: 02:30am
Mostly about Snowboarding. Zoe Gillings is again in action in the Boarder Cross in Arosa, Switzerland. The battle in the Women’s Parallel Slalom between Swiss duo of Daniela Meuli, and Ursula Bruhin, and Austria’s Doresia Krings is still raging, we look at the latest skirmishes. Also for the first time this year we catch up with the Freestyle Ariel’s from Tremblant in Canada.

Thursday 5th: 01:55am
A spot of ‘don’t miss TV’ [apparently!] as Poland’s top sportsman Adam Malysz takes to the skies of Zakopane in front of his adoring home fans. He is the golden boy of Polish sport and though 60,000 fans took to the slopes, trees anything to get a glimpse of the action. An estimated 50,000 additional spectators had to be turned away! Listen out for the organist as jumpers come down the hill. The show also takes in some Cross Country action from Novomesto.
