February already! The blur of the opening parties, Christmas, New
Year and all the first big snow falls seems a long time ago now.
The snow is currently fantastic and we're getting in as much time
on the mountain as possible before the half term hordes of February.
Got your number
The Ski Lodge had it's
own 10th Anniversary party just before Christmas (School Disco theme)
and everyone and anyone who had worked there in the last 10 years
"helped" behind the bar. A nightmare if you were actually trying
to buy a drink.
The only real memory
of New Year was the 118 boys - prancing about in the snow with their
old 192 friend, it was very, very funny at the time, believe me.

Ski Lodge antics
Then followed the free shots and free skis night, the Natives Show
Love party (when all of Meribel and Courchevel invaded our little
family, friendly resort) and the joint 40th birthday party of myself
and Bozel resident and long time La Tania local Sandy. We had a
proper sit down meal for 65 in Lodge
du Village over in Meribel Village, followed by a band and party
in the upstairs bar until the early hours. All the time it was dumping
with snow, but the boys from Three Valley Transfers got everyone
back to La Tania in the end - Well done guys and everyone else who
made the party a big success, especially Tim and Deb Wall for putting
up with us all.
Toss the boss
I didn't recover in time for the legendary Shibboleth's first gig
- a rocking night apparently with some "new" Led Zep & Chilli Peppers
classics and Whole Lotta Rosie finishing things off. We've got the
Ski Lodge Toss the Boss night soon (boss's birthday - heads or tails
if you pay for drinks or not) and it won't be long 'til the madness
of Mardi Gras, or Shrove Tuesday as we call it.
Special delivery
Also - to the tight ******* who didn't buy a ski jacket - do The
Royal Mail now deliver in the Three Valleys or what? Seen last week
above Courchevel...
So that's it for now, the snow's great - everything else is just
a distraction!
