Fergus from Ski Deep reports that one of the new speed cameras on French roads that we have heard about is situated in the tunnel leaving Moutiers.

"It is situated about two-thirds of the way along the tunnel on the left, hidden in a little service road (the *******!), and it will flash at anything over 89kms," reports independent website LaTania.co.uk

English registered cars are unlikely to be chased for the fine, but French cars and drivers of hire cars should beware. Hire car companies will simply pay the fine and charge your credit card (plus an admin fee).

There are also two speed cameras reported near Chambery (one in a tunnel and one between tunnels).
