SHOWING LOVE DOWN SOUTH

17 January 2004

The tour reaches Alpe d'Huez
The Show Love Tour party in Alpe D'Huez went fantastically on Tuesday. Great music from Danish Rock Band, Piste Off. Plenty of drink doleing generosity from our hosts at Smithy's Tavern. With the best ever turn out for an Alpe D'Huez party, it would have been hard to shoe-horn any more season workers into one of the resort's biggest venues. Top work to all involved, especially Kev our resort reporter.

And on to Les Deux Alps...
Stage two of the Southern Alps Extravaganza saw Show Love in Smithy's once again - this time in Les Deux Alpes. Piste Off played another fantastic set, having travelled over hot on the tail of the Natives mobile, and obligingly stripped off for the final numbers.

Jonny's all limp...

Vodka, punch, and more vodka...
One of our favourite venues did the party proud as always - as well as the vodka extreme energy drinks, there was free punch on arrival and frequent vodka runs across the bar top. Sadly Johnny wasn't able to participate in these having broken his toe a few days earlier - get well soon, mate. Danny and Penny filled in ably in his absence.

And then came the white stuff
And, as if by magic, the rain that had been hitting the resort for days became a thick blanket of snow as love filled the room - I'm not saying that it was totally down to Natives, but surely it can't be coincidence?
