Wengen Men's Downhill
Skiing on 4 this weekend features two legs of the Men’s Downhill from the fearsome Lauberhorn, in Wengen, Switzerland.

Wengen is one of the classic venues in the world for ski racing and the Lauberhorn one of the most famous pistes. Wengen has been at the centre of ski racing since British writer Sir Arnold Lunn, widely credited as the father of modern ski racing, set up a slalom course on the piste of the adjoining village of Murren in 1922.

Konrad Bartelski will join former British Champion Nick Fellows in the commentary box this weekend, as Channel 4 brings you another 6.5 hours of top class winter sports action throughout the week.

Friday 16th (1.45am ie early Sat morning*) - An update on how Britain’s current top two ski racers got on in their most recent events. Alain Baxter’s Chamonix Slalom, and Chemmy Alcott in Veysonnaz, Switzerland, where she competed in both the Downhill and Super G. There is also a full round up of the action from last weekends Men’s Downhill in Chamonix.

Saturday 17th (7am*
) - Offers a packed show with the highlight being the first leg of the men’s Downhill from the Lauberhorn. Watch out for more on Britain’s top female Snowboarders, Lesley McKenna and 18-year-old Zoe Gillings, including her first ever interview on national television and her most recent competition from Bad Gastein. McKenna is in action from Stoneham, Canada.

Sunday 18th (8am*) - The show concentrates fully on Saturday’s Downhill race, with all of the world’s top racers competing. Konrad Bartelski joins Nick in the commentary box.

Wednesday 21st (2.30am ie early Thurday*) - A look back to the half-pipe competition from Stoneham, Canada. In action was Britain’s Lesley McKenna. Also includes take our first look of the season at Skicross with the competition from Les Contamines, France.

Thursday 22nd (1.45am ie early Friday*) - Nordic night - Ski Jumping World Cup with all of the action from Lebrec in the Czech Republic, while the cross-country Skiers head to Otepaa in Estonia. Patrick Winterton is in the commentary box.

Friday 23rd (1:45am ie early Saturday*)
