2004 FABULOUS TOURNAMENT

Team announced
The All-Star team is shaping up for the 2004 Fabulous Tournament taking place in Avoriaz, France on January 25-30.

The eight final riders include:
Tonton Holland
Jonas Emery (Team Captain)
Mathieu Crepel
Tadashi Fuse
Gian Simmen

The remaining three All-Star team places will be annouced in Avoriaz on Tuesday, January 27th .

Self expression
Jonas Emery, All-Star Team Captain: “I'm proud to be named captain for the All-star team! The Fabulous Tournament is the closest thing to a pure freestyle contest because you are free to express yourself when you want; with the tricks you want. All this whilst being judged by your peers. It’s the best competition format you could ever wish for.”

A new Rookie Qualifying format which will feature up to 60 rookies fighting it out for a place in the final “Rookies” team to take on the All-Stars. Riders who are up for this exciting challenge can register to compete for a spot in the final eight Rookies on the official web site, www.fabulous-tournament.com The full event schedule and general information on the competition are also available online.

Valuable players and pre-qualification
In memory of Tristan Picot, The “Tristan Picot MVP” title (Most Valuable Player) will be awarded to the best rider during Fabulous Tournament Finals.

Riders from last years event whom have already pre-qualified into the semi final stage of the rookie qualifier are Jean Jacques Roux, Brunyld Vuilin, Bruno Rivoire, Frode Scarboe, Tomi Savela and Jonathan Menthon. Anne Flore Marxer, Sylvain lami Monnet, Eero Niemela , Heinz Löhle and Ronnie Anderson. Joël Strecker will be Rookie Team Captain and the only rookie rider directly qualified for the finals.

The Rookie Qualifications will take place over two days on Monday, January 26th and Tuesday, January 27th. The final eight Rookies selected will then take on the All-Stars over two days of fierce competition on Wednesday, January 28th and Thursday, January 29th competing for a total Prize Fund of € 26,000, including eight coveted Fabulous Tournament

Championship Rings!
The Fabulous Tournament will feature an art Gallery from a group of Artists called Spacejunk, whose goal is to gain visibility for artists with backgrounds in Xtreme sports culture.
