The snow cannons were started up for the first time in La Tania
this morning - adding to the snow already on the main piste. Lots
of digging going on in the resort, looks like they're increasing
the area for the kids to play in - looks a right mess, but it'll
be all white by Christmas!
Also some news on a
planned new beginners piste and a new chairlift in La Tania - we
sneaked a look at the plans...
 New
lifts planned
This has been talked about for some time in meetings of the Commune
(La Tania is "owned" by the small village of La Perrière
directly below the resort on the main road to Moutiers).However
this is the first time we've seen any documentation - rumour has
it that the new chair will go as high as the top gondola station
and the new beginners piste will cut across from the blue run avoiding
the steeper bit at the end. No dates known yet of when this is likely
to happen.

drag lift). The new piste comes done on the left hand side to join
the end of the red Morretta Blanche piste.
Soon, soon.....
A few La Tania locals skied Val Thorens today - they had a really
good day, described as soft and empty.....
Courchevel 1850 lifts open on Sat 6 Dec with the La Tania lifts
and all the rest on Sat 13 December. Pub Le Ski Lodge is scheduled
to open on Sunday 30th November (probably).
