BPA ENDORSE DOGTAG

13 November 2003

Dogtag Travel Insurance, the innovative new travel insurance using metal dogtags for ID purposes, has just been given a stamp of approval by the British Paramedic Association (BPA).

Dogtag gives all policy holders a personalised dogtag, which is engraved with a dedicated web address, and which medics can access the insured's VIP (Vital Information Page) anywhere in the world.

The VIP not only confirms to rescuers that the patient is insured, it is also where they will find vital information about next of kin, blood group and details of any special medical conditions which the insured might want to display.

Stephen Dolphin of the BPA, paramedics' professional body in the UK, said: "It provides an immediate and absolute guarantee that the wearer is insured. Dogtag's VIP offers medics access to vital information, perhaps making a difference between life and death."

Frank White, MD at Medi-Call Ltd which assists travellers with medical emergencies while abroad, also told Natives that Dogtag was 'revolutionary': "Our job is to liaise with the treating doctor or hospital to establish the severity of the illness or injury. Dogtag enables the process to be accelerated. It's something that has been long overdue."

You can book your Dogtag Insurance online at dogtag.co.uk or via freephone 0800 0364824. All polices are underwritten by Professional Travel Insurance (PTI).

Dogtag is one of the sponsors of this winter's Natives Workers Challenge
