PUREFREERIDE SKI CAMPS

04 November 2003

A new freeride camp in Chamonix will give you a one-week journey into that world, with an insight into the season and skills of pro freeriding.

Chamonix Freeride camp

The camp is the brainchild of North Face and Head rider, Chris Fecher. With countless back to back seasons of photo shoots, races and movies in Europe and New Zealand makes Chris one of the 'older statesmen' of the freeride industry.

And this year, UK skiers can take advantage of that experience, as Chris and a host of the best UK Freeskiers put you through your paces in the most dynamic freeskiing destination in the world, the legendary Chamonix Valley.

Chris told Natives more about the Purefreeride concept: 'Purefreeride provides a safe learning environment and a place where skiers can develop their skills with some of the best UK pro Freeskiers around.I simply want to offer skiers a better choice.'

Passion, pros and secret spots
The aim of Purefreeride is to offer the best Freeride and backcountry holidays available, with Chris and his team passing on their passion for the mountains, experience and vast local knowledge, in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

The camps will work with only fully qualified UIAGM mountain guides and professional UK Freeskiers, using a wealth of experience to take riders to the sickest lines, the best kickers and most secret of secret spots.

Amongst the team on the Purefreeride camps, you can expect to see not just Chris, but also Jim Adlington, Jason Shutt, Sandy Trust, Nick Southwell, Tom Lynch, Andy Topping, Zack Wragg, James Vernon, Andy David and Eddie Thelwell to name but a few.

Dates/Accommodation
Purefreeride has arranged exclusive use of Chalet Petite Mignonne, a Nomadic Ski property. There are only two camps this winter though, so don't wait too long before booking. The available dates are 11 and 18 January, both for one week. See the website for more details.
