Autumn can always be a nervous time
of year for snow-lovers, but with just a few weeks to go until the
first of the ski shows, help is at hand! We'll guide your through
to the winter - with free tickets, discounts, VIP events and some
super-cool nights out!
26-28 September, The
British Ski & Snowboard Show (NEC, Birmingham)
With over 15,000 visitors last year, this is the first of the
biggies. Come along and meet the Natives team. You can get job advice,
check out our new range of tops or simply pick up a few of the freebies
on offer.
This year's Show will break new ground with the addition of the
Natives.co.uk Freestyle Zone, featuring demos from the Line/ACG
team and 'The New Breed' comp showcasing the cream of young British
talent.
27 September, Private Screening of Warren Miller's
'Journey' (NEC, Birmingham)
Our VIP private screening will be the unofficial European Premiere.
Details still to be finalised.
04-05 October, The
Southern Snow Show (Calshot Activities Centre, Southampton)
The warm-up event should see about 5000 visitors check out the
two dry slopes, with all the action covered in live broadcasts by
Wave Radio.
18-19 October, The
Northern Snow Show (G-Mex Centre, Manchester)
Back at GMEX for a second year, our friends in the North gets the
action from the aerial display team, featuring 2002 Olympic Gold
Medallist Ales Valenta leading the team.
21 October, European Premiere of 'Snows
in the House II' (Central London)
Watch out for details of how to win tickets to the premiere of the
only British freeride ski movie, plus the VIP after party and a
copy of the DVD signed by all the riders..
24 Oct - 02 Nov, The
Daily Mail Ski and Snowboard Show (London Olympia)
This is the biggie, with 10 days of action over two weekends.
You can follow all there is to know about 'the ski season' on our
microsite (will launch shortly), featuring everything you need to
know about the Show, with special coverage from the Brewskis bar,
Freestyle comp, speed-dating, nude skiing and more. This year Natives
will be running Job Workshops and will also have a stand for the
first time.
01 Nov, The Ski Show Workers
Party (WestOneFour, London)
Our major event of the year and the start of the 2002/03 Show
Love Tour. Superfly are confirmed for upstairs, DJs on the decks
downstairs with all the money raised going to the National
Handicapped Skiers Association. Tickets will go on sale from
29 September
07-09 Nov, BoardX
(Alexandra Palace, London)
It's the second year at Ally Pally for this 8th Board-X. Details
are being confirmed and we'll bring you all the news well before
the event.
