FALLS CREEK UPDATE

25 August 2003

Winter's here
Blizzard like conditions in Falls Creek over the weekend. 30cms of fresh snow fell last night & yesterday giving an average base of 154cms. Wild & snowy conditions set to continue during Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday with high winds the limiting factor.

Superpipe opened
The Falls Creek Super pipe opened late last week, rumoured to be the largest & longest in Australia. Film maker Rob Norman accompanied by Australian skiing superstars Woody Bouma, Ben 'Skinner' Murphy, Oddy Graham, LCP's Jon McMurray & French bad boys P.G. & Pierre arrived at Lakeside Lodge in anticipation of a fat pipe session. With a window of good weather opening up on Saturday, the boys got what they came for, putting on a display of epic proportions for the Falls Creek masses
