Following
the success of last
year's event at Sheffield Ski Village, organised by the Bristol
BUSC committee, this year's English and Welsh University Snowdome
Championship (EWUSC) will be the first to be held on snow.
EWUSC 2003 will take place at the Milton Keynes
Snowdome on Saturday 17 May from 3pm through to the evening, with
pumping beats during the day and an after-party in a nearby nightclub.
The organising committee from Huskis and Loughborough Uni expect
the level of competition to be very high, and the event to be similar
in format to the very successful BUDS.
Events
will include individual and team events for
skiers and boarders, Big Air and Slopestyle. Itis still to be confirmed
whether non-students will be able to compete in the Big Air and
Slopestyle events.
Milton Keynes has considerable experience of similar events after
their own Big
Air comps and the Refrigerator
Slopestyle. There is a ready-made 20 ft kicker and slope-style
complete with rollers and rails.
Prizes on the day will include trophies, holidays, skis and boards.
The after party will be held in Oceana nightclub, where competitors
will get reduced entry.
Enclosed are race entry forms, a promotional leaflet, race schedule
and contact details. For more info and race entry forms please contact
