Sex and charity
A mental last couple of weeks with end of
season parties, BBQs, panic sex and the big La Tania Charity Day.
Along with Meribel Village, a fantastic 7508 Euros was raised for
Cancer charities in France and the UK - well done to everyone involved.
Events included a relay race (much to the amusement of the French
ESF as no one took it seriously), bosses in the stocks, ski javelin
and egg eating (25 hard boiled eggs followed by projectile vomiting).
Fourplay, Galley & Steve played outside on the terrace with guest
appearances by original front man Dave and various other on-lookers.
  
The night ended with a charity auction, prizes and
the Saisonnaires Poll Winners Party. Lots of nakedness, drinking
and the usual carry on.
  
Which bits will you remember?
Final nights at LDV in Meribel Village and various chalet BBQs and
parties makes you remember why it's all been worth it (you'll only
remember the good times anyway!). End of season skiing was pretty
good too and we finally managed to take the camera out!
The last night in the Ski Lodge was as always quite
emotional and very blurry in the morning. All the nights really
rolled in to one....
  
  
So another season over, lots of stories to be told
and the memories to last a lifetime. The snow was certainly the
best for 4 years and this years Saisonnaires surpassed themselves
with their drunken antics and hard core skiing & boarding (to those
who tackled Plumbers, Gazex 3, the 4th Couloir and Croix du Verdon,
I salute you).
And what do you do in the summer?
And finally some words of wisdom - "The only trouble about going
to New Zealand in the summer again is you end up doing not just
back to back Winters but Winter, Winter, Winter - 'cos you're bound
to be coming back out here aren't you?" Thanks Mr Shilton, who came
out for a first weeks skiing holiday in December 99, has hardly
been home since and won this seasons Best Skier in La Tania Award.
It's been a blast, 'til the Summer, go hard... Toffa.
