Day
5 - Big Air
Friday saw the Arnette sponsored Big
Air reach new heights as flips, 720s, grabs and inverts were attempted,
and accomplished, by some of the best riders from across the globe.
Sweden were particularly strong, competing for 1st and 2nd places
in the Women's Boarder category, with Ulrika Emegard coming out
as the eventual winner.
The crowds relaxed in yet another day of blinding
sunshine, drinking, eating and checking out next season's Nike ACG
technical gear at their tent. Abi Pickett came out on top in the
Women's skier big air, luckily not injuring herself in advance of
her expedition to the North Col of Everest, taking place in May.

Arbate DJs
Once again, the cancellation notice turned away hundreds from the
doors of the Cirque du ChamJam. The Arbate once again hosted the
renegade artists and while there were technical problems with the
Rodney P and Skitz gig, due to the hasty relocation, Radioactive
Man, aka Keith Tenniswood, rescued a potentially sticky moment by
stepping up to the decks and playing through the lull to whip up
one of the best DJ treats ever seen in this valley.
