LES DEUX ALPES UPDATE

27 December 2001

"...stuck face down in a waist deep powder drift"

Ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands together because the snow has finally taken the stage.

Yesterday and last night has been throwing it down and although the lower slopes still need more, I managed to get stuck face down in a waist deep powder drift yesterday.

We have very high winds at the moment and there is more snow forecast for the next few days. Wrap up VERY warm though. It was -19²C on the glacier yesterday and I still haven't thawed out yet.

As for the rest of town, everyone is really going to work on Christmas and New Year and you can't help but have a fantastic time no matter where you are.
