What snow?

........Grande Motte is open if you are into ice pack with the odd boulder to practise a few big wide GS carves, although one has to bear in mind that it is a boring bus ride to get over there, unless you have skins or your own wheels.

And as for Val d'Isere, well for the more discerning skier, you can practise slalom round the rocks on the two pistes that are currently open, or the nursery slopes I have heard are in top condition.

Although I wouldn't want to put anyone off coming here at the moment. Fats is doing a roaring trade in Breakfasts, and the party atmosphere is electric....well what else is a girl to do?
