Well, I just returned from the ChamJam 2002...bummer. A fantastic week competing against the best in the world. Big thanks to the organisers for making the 14hr drive (complete with blow out) worthwhile. The comp was well organised with a fantastic atmosphere and a well built course (Jamie Strachan). Special mention must go to Bigfoot for the pub crawl and Tomas,Anne & Marjo for the accommodation and hospitality. The resort rocked all day with large crowds and sick sick shit being pulled over the hits and rails. With the likes of Candide Thovex, Tanner Hall, Enak Govagio it was always going to be big!! The ChamJam crew brought some big names into the resort for the evening activities. I was lucky enough to hear Henry Gibson & friends all the way from Chicago create a memorable night in the Goophy and a Ska band called Cool Cats absolutely rock the Cybar. Fantastic stage acts by both bands really made both nights. Ash played the L`Arbate on Friday and Saturday saw the DosNu party. Sorry missed both cos i had to get back but i hear they both went off! Whilst I was away Arinsal hosted the UFO 2002, an annual local comp that regularly brings a host of good local riders and a few from over the border in Spain. Events consisted of Big Air, Ski/Boarder-x and slopestyle. Big name DJs and acts from the UK fly in to keep the evenings rocking. More info on this event when
