OK so it's the French holidays, English half term is looming and yes, the slopes are pretty packed, but there are 420 miles to ski here, dammit. There's still plenty of snow and you can always get away from the maddening crowds if you really want. We could do with a little more of the white stuff, if you're listening Oh Mighty Snow God, but all things considered we're not doing bad at all. Check the picture below, taken on the afternoon of Wednesday 13th Feb and decide for yourself
Just about every run is open; some admittedly
are looking decidedly brown and patchy, but that's only at
the very bottom - most are holding out admirably and there
is much fun to be had by all. The coming half-term week is obviously going to be manic in terms of crowds - just bear in mind what Michael Douglas famously said about lunch being for billies and you'll be fine!
