THE REFRIGERATOR OPEN

18 November 2002

Paddy Graham won his second event in consecutive weekends, with victory at the Ellis Brigham Refrigerator Slopestyle event at the Milton Keynes Snozone.

Graham won the final with a superbly executed flat spin 720 followed by a faultless run though the course of rails and kickers.

The standard throughout the day was very high. With the help of Jim Adlington's enthusiastic commentary, the judges selected first the best 16, before narrowing that down to a final five.

On most other days, Andy Bennett's switch misty 5 would have won, while Nick Southwell's attempted switch backflip pulled roars of approval from the crowd. But on the day Graham was a convincing winner, a cut above the rest of the 50 strong field - this boy has a great future!
