The new magazine will be called SnowNews and plans to offer a completely new approach to British snow lovers - not least the fact that it will be printed in A3 size and it will be available for free. 'SnowNews' is a joint venture of senior industry specialists, led by Graeme Spratley, whose own experience was gained first as a resort rep, then in tour operating and more recently in ski magazine publishing. Spratley claims that 'SnowNews' will set a new paradigm for ski magazines: "By our calculations, even the biggest snowsports magazine is seen by less than 7% of the wintersports population. Its time for a change! "We are going to put 100,000 copies of every issue of Snownews directly into the hands of British skiers and boarders - for free!" Spratley told Natives. "Spot-hitting editorial, punchy stories and tons of witty observational humour and competitions will make a refreshing change from the lengthy, technical jargon you usually come across. This magazine will have fresh editorial, a fresh look and a fresh approach."
