Mathew Prior, a fomer ski rep, was appointed last week as the new Managing Director at First Choice Ski, Lakes and Mountains.

Mathew previously worked in Valloire and Zermatt in the early Nineties, before becoming contracts manager for France and Switzerland.

After ski and during summers he went on to work in Ibiza and the Canaries and was area manager of Gran Canaria before returning to the UK.

In his new role of Managing Director, Prior will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of First Choice Ski, Lakes & Mountains, Skibound, Travelbound, Flexiski and 2wentys.

Prior has stated that he is 'delighted to take on this role at an important time for the ski market' and looks forward to helping First Choice 'continue to excel as a ski operator'.

The appointment is not only good news for First Choice staff overseas, who can be confident their MD is truly aware of all the issues they have to face, but another example of how it is possible to build a career out of the industry through working overseas.
