Despite a frantic eleventh hour effort, the fate of the Medway Snowbowl (at least at the Historic Dockyard) seems all but determined.

A financial package which could have seen the Snowbowl open for a second season was offered by an investor - wishing to remain anonymous - but was withdrawn late last Thursday. Venturecore Limited, as Director, have yet to have the reason for the withdrawal confirmed, but it is believed to centre around erroneous news reports suggesting that English Heritage would not grant consent for the necessary improvements to the building.

This is a major blow to SnowTime UK Limited, and the company now has no option but to go into voluntary liquidation. It is particularly disappointing in view of the fact that a carefully worded press release, regarding the future of SnowTime UK Limited, was issued by Venturecore Limited on Tuesday 2 April 2002.
