AVALANCHE AWARENESS SESSIONS

4 December 2001

Following your feedback from our recent feature on avalanche safety, we have decided to put together some Avalanche Awareness sessions to coincide with our early season Show Love Tour dates.

These sessions are designed for anyone interested in learning more about how to ski safely this winter. There is no cost to attend.

MERIBEL: 1700, Sunday 16 December, The Ice Cafe

Top British freeskier, Pat Sharples, and resident Meribel guide, Jean Francois from Snow Systems will be leading the discussion.

COURCHEVEL: 1630, Tuesday 18 December, Bar Le Jump

In his 'home' valley, Pat Sharples, will be looking to pass on much of his own local knowledge, supported by more technical information from an instructor from New Generation.

VAL D'ISERE: 1630, Thursday 20 December, The Pacific Bar

Salomon sponsored rider, Jim Adlington, will introduce this session, with a representative of Mountain Masters on hand to cover backcountry skiing in Val d'Isere in more detail.
