"I'm really pleased, it¹s a great start to the season and I really couldn¹t ask for a better one. However, I wasn¹t competing at 100% and feel I can still give a lot more", McKenna said. Training had been hampered due to poor snow conditions in most European resorts and in the States. However, conditions were ideal today with clear skies and hard snow. A strong field, McKenna fought off tight competition from many of the top World Cup riders. She is now looking forward to the next meeting at Whistler on 8th December with a view to the podium. On a seperate note, Lesley was named as one of Scotland's 50 Most Eligible Women yesterday. Apparently if you want to win her over you should avoid calling her 'The Hobbit' - it was her nickname at school (although if you really would use the word 'hobbit' as part of a chat-up line you deserve to fail regardless).
