BRITISH DISABLED SKI TEAM

25 October 2001

This year's Ski Show Workers Party in London and the Natives Show Love Tour in the Alps will be raising funds for the British Disabled Ski Team.

Russell DockerIn 2002, two athletes from the squad, Russell Docker (shown right) and Steve Napier, will be going to the Winter Paralympics at Salt Lake City.

Rusell and Steve were chosen from five athletes who reached the required selection criteria. There are around 30 skiers in the squad trying to reach their full potential.

What we hope to do is to help provide funds to help towards the high costs of training. Any monies raised by Natives will go towards travel and coaching costs - in particular we hope to be able to contribute towards a new team minibus.

Everyone has their own views and opinions on charity, however we think that this cause is something that all Natives can relate to.

There will be plenty of opportunities to contribute this winter, but if you would like some more information now about the Team, then please contact the British Adaptive Ski Team on 020 8550 6518 who will be able to give you more information.
