NEW BAR/RESTAURANT FOR MERIBEL VILLAGE

27 September 2001

The great news for anyone living or holidaying in Meribel Village is that from December the resort will have its first bar and restaurant.

The venue will be run by Tim and Debbie Wall, owners of La Tania's Pub Le Ski Lodge, and is likely to be called the Lodge du Village.

Meribel Village has become an increasingly popular satellite village of the Three Valleys in the last few years. Facilities have been improved significantly from the original bus service and the village now has a lift connecting into the main ski area, hire shop and boulangerie.

The lack of options for evening entertainment has been a drawback of the location until now. Meribel town centre is a healthy 20 minute walk away and after a day on the mountain can be much longer. The introduction of the new bar and restaurant is likely to be the filip the resort needs.

[And as the new mayor of Meribel also lives in Village expect more facilities, with snowcannons top of the list, to come soon...  ;-) ]
