Dust down the dancing shoes and pull out those flares, it's party time!

Thursday November 8 is going to see the biggest knees up British snowboarding has ever seen with the first ever British Snowboarding Awards.

'The Light' in London will play host to the ceremony to celebrate the last year's heroes and idiots in true British style. The evening will be hosted by laughing gear (Christian Stevenson and Ed Leigh) with guest appearances by the "Cuban Brothers" and cameo appearances on the decks by some of British snowboarding's greats.

You can vote for the awards themselves will be voted for online at Soulsports in the following categories:

- Best British Male
- Best British Female
- Best British Rookie
- Best British Video
- Best British Snowboard team
- Best International Snowboarder

On the night these more serious awards will be thrown in with the more humiliating titles of worst slam, biggest caner and a selection of cringers from the hall of shame.

The awards themselves will be held in the upstairsbar where 80 VIP's and 120 ticket holders will be entertained from 8pm til late. Tickets are on sale for a tenner and are moving quickly so if you want a piece of the action get yours sharpish.
