Not that Nike need any extra coverage, but this story really is rather tragic... Some of you may recall seeing the ad below at some point last winter. It was all part of a trendy advertising campaign by Nike for their line of ACG boardwear, based on the theory that it's fine to wipe out because you have to push yourself to get better. Noble stuff, no? And okay, the first line 'Shit is a dish best-served warm...the ACG jacket lets you eat it all day long' may not turn you on, but we think it gets the point across . Not according to one anonymous reader of Fall Line though. He was so offended by the remark he reported them to the Advertising Standards Authority who in their wisdom upheld the complaint and gave Nike UK a telling off. So who was this reader and why does he/she
bother buying a top drawer magazine like Fall Line? They evidently
have no sense of humour or adventure (not that we're recommending
trying the dish in question!). If you know the moaners identity,
please mail us to iknowwhothesadpersonwithnolifeis@natives.co.uk
and we will make sure they get their just desserts...
