BIG FREEZE IN SHEFFIELD

28 March 2001

The Sheffield Freeze, fast becoming one of Britain's biggest ski, snowboard and snow blade events looks like it should be a great show for riders and compitors alike.

The event takes place over the May Bank Holiday from 26-28 May 2001 at the Sheffield Ski Village. The main action will take place in the Sprite Freestyle Arena, a newly built fun park (shown right) with a virtual snow surface, half-pipe, Big Air, cornice and quarter-pipe terrain features.

Competitors from across the United Kingdom and Europe will come to Sheffield specifically for the event, competing over the two days for the title of King of the Freeze.

Expect more action similar to the pics shown here, taken when the park opened back in October. For additional information on the “Sheffield Freeze”, call Tim Richardson on 0114 281 1818, Ext. 207.
